Sassy is a mid teens mare who was surrendered to us as she was losing weight and her owner could not determine the reason and could not get her to gain.  She is a well trained horse and the family had been riding her but stopped as her weight dropped. She is currently on a mash meal in the evening, along with 24/7 grass hay and is close to an appropriate weight.  She has been ridden in our arena, on trails and on the road and has proven to be a very well trained riding horse. She does have arthritis in her back legs and is currently on Cosequin ASU. She is available for adoption and will make a great trail/arena horse. Because of her arthritis she should not be ridden heavy.
