Winston

Back in 2015 Winston was found being picked on by other horses in a feed lot.  He was missing an eye and had several bite/kick marks on him. It was decided that he needed a soft place to land so he was brought home to the farm. It turned out that he was an awesome riding horse and a great teacher. He is now about 30 and was retired in 2021 into our sanctuary due to a hip issue. He is also slowly losing sight in his other eye. He hangs out now with his BFF, Springer. roaming the property, and together they are the greeters to all visitors at the sanctuary. He currently receives 3 mash meals a day due to his worn teeth and is on an arthritis supplement, pain medication and aspirin for his eyes.

Winston is a Sanctuary horse whose expenses include hay, senior feed, beet pulp, alfalfa pellets, Cosequin ASU, NuPrine, and Previcox, totaling $430/month. You can play a vital role in Winston's rehabilitation and care by becoming his Sponsor today.
