Barnes is a 3-year-old gelding. An acquaintance was traveling to pick up a horse and contacted us to see if we could take some foals from a feed lot that had had many horses dropped off as a rancher had died and the family did not want to continue with the horses. We agreed to take 2. Barnes came to us at approximately 3 months of age. He was wild and did not want anything to do with us. After much time spent with him, he finally accepted being handled. He is currently being worked with on the ground. He is at a perfect age to continue his training on the ground to ready him for riding in the spring.
